Today we look at elegies and read O Captain! My Captain! by Walt Whitman.  During class students will be sent down to the theater lobby for hearing tests so I won’t have quite as much time for instruction.

Your final term is today!  Test is on Thursday.  We will review the rest of the week.  By tomorrow you need to know which poem(s) you’re reading during the slam.

Elegy– a poem to memorialize someone beloved or respected who is deceased.
