We’ve got too much to cover to call it quits just yet. Here are five terms you need for our next unit (We’re reading 12 Angry Men)…
- defendant- the person that has been accused of a crime; Innocent until proven guilty.
- prosecution- state, people who accuse and try to convict someone of a crime.
- impartial- no bias, no opinion
- homicide- murder
- reasonable doubt- doubt that is reasonable that the defendant tries to raise. Must be found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
Next, we’re going to take those group paragraphs we had last week and get rid of the isolated quotes. Each person will now be in charge of turning in their own copy of the group’s paragraph properly cited.
