Tuesday’s plan…

Hey look, I’m ahead of schedule!

Today we’ll learn what snapshots and thoughtshots are.

Snapshots are using descriptions/imagery to paint the picture for the reader, while thoughtshots are the thoughts and emotions a character is going through.

Barry Lane (caution: he’s an odd fellow) explains… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxdrOWUCu48

When we combine these two things on an important part of a story it’s called “Exploding a moment.”  You’ll get an assignment about this during the last block of the week.

Here’s an example of that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mA9YeKBRaL8

Homework Alert!  You’ll get a vocab packet as well.  Quiz won’t be until the 28th.  Do the packet by Monday and be ready to turn it in for a grade.
